TIBET AUTONOMY : FACTS & A THREE TIER MODEL

tibet and dalailama was introduced to me by a tibetan friends tsering tenzing and jigme. tsering had his rosary tied in his hand and made me ask questions about tibet and his holiness. my understanding became wider when i read a book "awekening the mind and lightening the heart " by his holiness. so i started to follow news about tibet. which gave me some understanding about tibet. the tibetan youths that i found in 2003 and 2011 has drastic change in their behaviour and dressings. jeans is the very common dress for both boys and girls(probably foreign funding). whatever it is, a man living in foreign land for his whole life with everyday expectation of dawn is something ponderable.
HARD FACT TIBET HAS TO UNDERTSAND:

1) china is emerging as an invincible power in internatinal platform, though its not playing direct role. china is the major financial supporter of america.

2) so america hands are tied when it deals with chinese affairs.

3)china's third world policies are so strong that makes china to be even stronger in UN.

4)india can only give motherly affection to tibet but only china can give fatherly concession to china.

5) tibet has to follow the policy of "meet the lion in its den" towards china. because most of the west trying to have share with chinese econmic boom. so without any third person ,tibet has to intiate conversations with china.

6)since tibet became strategically and natural resources point of view became important for china, we cant expect complete expulsion of china from tibet.

7)through out the history china suffers with "xenophobia" so avoid using foreiners as a leaverage for talk, definitely that will irritate them, now they are super power too.

8)any political conclusion must be arrived soon within the life tenure of hisholiness

9)change the slogan of free tibet to tibet autonomy

10) tibetans should put their own views instead of someone's else.

WHAT IS LACKING?

too much of foreign funds and foreign aids made the youths blend, they seem to be least reactive when we talk abut tibet. may be because of their religion and culture too, they are not soo reactive. so the burden for hishliness is doubled.

THREE TIER MODEL: HIS HOLINESS , CHINA and the PRIME MINISTER OF TIBET

seperating the state and church is good but completely vanishing of his hliness image in the politics will bring down the morale of tibetans. because his holiness is the religious and cultural sign of tibet. so his mere presence is important. we should not see china as a thorn in the flesh instead see him as a strict brother. in the coming future the role of prime minister will be inevitable. so what tibet can ask to china is that,

his holiness will continue to be an ornamental head of the state (autonmus state). the political and the security issues will be with the china whereas the china will not have any direct presence in tibet but in lasha administrative wing there coould be the chinese representative who will monitor the prime minister activites. the chinese repsentative will not have any cntrol over the spiritual and cultural affairs of tibet.

no changes in tibetan political administration could bring withut the knwledge of UNO and india.becuase the succeding politico of china might try to reverse the history. tibet has to accept the chinese soverignity over tibet.
so basically it is of sharing of powers. the spiritual and cultural affairs will be with the dalailama,

the political and security power might exist with china but invisibly. tibet could accept the socialist form of administration but the prime minister of tibet will be governing the state.
if china and tibet accepts in these views then autonomy will be achieved in win-win situation.

RUE SUFFREN

me, pondicherry, french, alliance francaise, mother ashram, vinayagar temple and bsnl office :), this was the usual milestone i could see after 4:30pm during my stay in pondicherry. i enroled in alliance francaise to study french. first day of french class i couldnt able to attend becuase of gandhian seminare in the department. so i missed the ice breaking session in the french class. on the secnd day i went to class. days were moving, i never bther abut what others are thinking abt me, i just stay in the comfortable position. so i was least bother abut who is sitting where.

one day prof asked the students to ask questions to other stdents who we like. along with me a student from PEC(pondicherry engineering college) basically from arunachal pradesh, he was super cute. so when my turn came, i raised my head and opp to me a girl was sitting her name was christi ,so suddenly i asked her the question abt the pet dog. the class was silent, i dntknow why. then the turn was moving and prf called a girl swt it's ur turn. first time i saw that girl.

wow, not that poisnus beautiful but hmely round face with two jadai(spliting the hair into two and tieing). she turned towards us. me and that pec guy. and she asked question to that pec guy :). i dont know what and what went,i suddenly bowed my head down and took more than a minute to cme again, i was unaware whether others watched me or not. this pec guy was so happy and he was chatting all along in the bus till his college, but i was thinking abt what actually went wrong with me... horrible

weekend passed and on mnday we had film screening. everyone was waiting on the corridor, since i was ging from university usually i reach AF(alliance francaise) by 5:30 or 5:45 pm. that day also i went at 5:30 and on the corner i was gazing at the mango tree. suddenly a thought came to see where she's standing. when i turned my body and head to my surprise she was standing behind me. when i saw her, she was turning her head aside,then with hesitation,i said hai, she also said hai. thats it. we went for movie screening. on that day pec guy was not talking much.he also changed the place. but what a perfect girl she was. probably migrant telugu settled in tamilnadu. becuase she called her dad as naina.

days were moving we reached to the level of sitting next to each other( that is the big thing in our society) for six month i never had french book, i took notes in the note and shared her book. every level we had break of one month. after finishing the exams i ask the last question to her will u cme to next level? she used say ,i dont know i have to ask my father. untill i see her in the class my pulse rate goes till 110 :). i think it was third level she was not in the class. when i stood out. didero (very decent guy) told me" monseiur she is in the next class 6th room" i dnt know how to react to him so i smiled. interesting fact about her was she was becoming more and more beautiful and i could able see good external changes in her body.

the sad part was on the summer. with great fight and difficulties she joined in the summer.her father started to suspect and they got disturbed abut our relatinship. one day when she came from school i spoke to her. suddenly she asked me "why ur coming with me?" she never asked like that. but she didnt spoke anything again. i was also walking silently with her, suddenly from a shed three people approaching toards us, i coldnt able to understand anything. the lady who came took her and the man asked me "hey what u want ,who are u ,come lets go to police station" then i understood. i am trapped. those two were her parents and another one was to threaten me(gunda like :) . thousands of thouhts running in my mind. particularly what will be my parents reactions, how culd i call him. she was seeing me as helpless. i understood the meaning of her earlier pharse, she was trying to send me in the half way.

when we reached near to plice station, this gunda like person told ther father, that he look like good guy and also a student so we will slve this problem, he was a native pondicherrian. then they took me too two wheeler shed and her father was jumping up and down. the third person was contrling him, i stood silently. then this gunda like persn entered talking, he told if this continues i will smash u r face( moonchi kozhapicum). then i got angry, i tld them if u dare enough do it now. "let see what is happening. frm the first u both are treating me like a culprit. what u want to do ,u can do now",her father took two step back. arguments was btwn me and other. in the aruments nowhere i took her in, because to that extend she impressed me. finally i accepted it was my mistake to walk with ur daughter on the road. and her father got my email id, phone number, my home address and hstel address. everything was over by 6:15pm started started aroud 5:15pm.

what i admire about her is she was dare enough to love me irrespective of all thse prblems in that small age. then my astrlogical cnfiurations doesnt support at all for love at that time. but still she shwn me what is true love. thats the power of virginity. see, if sun is good position, u can kiss ur lover in the corner of bathroom, or there might be power cut where u both sitting. sun is known for hidden pleasures. but i was in the punishment period, where the star was aiting to punish me. there also she shared my pain. thats her greatness, loving in the difficult time and in difficult situations. cute brillaint girl must be in good collage some where. best part was we never touched each other thats wwhy we culd able to escape frm the bad situation, actually she helped me to overcome that horrible time.

World Class Institutions

more than any country in the world, india is known for great guru shisya (teacher and student) tradition. history says when the nalanda library was set fire it burnt for three months continuously, in the south we had sangam to discuss and dispute about the growth of knowledge and regularising the flow of knowledges. there were facts that india had been the seat of learning in the olden days. credits must be given to buddhist and jainist. when we(you) took over the knowledge seat problem emerged. becuase particular group of people had done knowledge curving (which is the greatest sin) they kept the knowledge for themselves and this tradition continued until imperialism entered into india. to assist the british in clearical works they introduced macaulay system of education. this actually broken the knowledge curve done by those groups. intorduction of new education system opens up for everyone who could pay for their stuides (fair enough). so from here onwards our education has more of western leniance. there were two school of thoughts emerged during the freedom era. one was local knowledge system (gandhi) and another one was western scince and technology(nehru).
nehru strongly beleived that the science and technology will make a trickling effect in reducing poverty and the country will flourish. we can even say he was romantic idealist towards western science and technology.(no need to go for a debate of right or wrong). as gandhi was properly neglected in the last moments of freedom era, his thoughts too was sent back to sabarmadhi ashram.
so nehru started iit's and other research institutes to accelarate the growth of india by contributing to the science and technology of india. we know where we are in scinece and technology?.
WORLD CLASS INSTITUTION:
having such a great tradition in teaching and learning we are still strugling to have our institution in atleast top 100 in world ranking. first of all we have to be clear that there is nothing called world standard and world class institution. there are amrican class intitutions, european class institutions and british class institutions. similarly we must make indian class institiutions. here comes the problem, for that we must have a good governance and good social sysytem, other wise everthing will reflect in our institution working style. personal ego, personal gain, casteism will definitely reflect in our education system. though this may not appear directly but this evils will be fertilized underneath.

these ranking are one way or another is a business tricks. they want to attract the students from the thrid world emerging economies. to be frank only 5 universities in usa, 5 universities in UK and 5 universities in europe will be impressively good. this is becuase they maintain a good tradition of teaching and motto. many students and teachers from abroad admired PU's teachers knowledge and the hostel facilities. iits had sucha great tradition of teaching no doubt about it, but what i see is that that tradition is going down. now everyone want to make maximum out of the brand name. some argues that following the
reservation will affect the standard of the iits. again this is not true.
first of all the institution not believing in the inclusive growth. this only shows their weakness. out of 100 seats 18 seats are given to reserved categories. let them be third class students. my question is what's wrong in admitting 18 students out of 100 in an institution and if you are not able to teach them , then what for government is paying such a high slary (just to remove nails)? a class must contains a mixture of students otherwise the staffs will go for other way of earnings. the teachears and the senate instead of giving lame excuses about their potential, a good teacher and senate members could accomodate them and give them the knowledge. here, what iam saying is not new. this is very much happening in state and central universities. a dean of central university taking a student in his bike to academic section and helping dalit students to solve their problems.
whereas here you are giving zero and four and creating a psychological fear:)
BAD STUDENTS SPOILS GOOD TEACHERS.
again this world class mania, we never call our teacher by name. i cant go and call sambhadamm, enna krishnamorthy? moorthy how are you? does it sound good. here the girls call him as vigneshhh ( i always remember vichuuu.... comedy) so they are in world class institution:) what actually happen is that these girls call him and mail and meaasge him in the night. whereas guys actually mind their business and they take it as usual as a course. when teacher compare students obiviously the one who had not called may visible as egoistic guy and it will take atleast 4 months to understand the real who he is? within that all sort damage a teacher might have done to that student. is it a world class institution attitude? thats what iam saying dont go for vichhhuuuu.... comedy business. there must be a real attitude change.

dont try to make pizza and sell in italy, this will not make us a world class, where as open a idly shop in newyork city and made them taste it, then naturally we will reach them. then it will go globally. instead of worring about world class, make those iits and iims to work for india and indians (for all the indians). then it will go globally. the senate and the directors need to carefully bring back the olden teaching tradition.

HSS and IITS

when hindu news paper had a tough competition with other new entrants which was sold for rs.1, hindu continued to sell its paper for rs 3.50. that's how a good teacher will always be. it has nothing todo with good teachers. these are some reflections over the present iit's hss system.

in the final semester of my MA i was eager to apply somewhere other than pondicherry. but i never had a dream to join in iit's or any elite institution. one fine afternoon, while i was crossing the dept of economics in PU i found the notice about the MPHIL program offered in one IIT. i thought "i wouldnt make it but anyway let me give a try". actually after studying international relations i had an aspiration for development studies and the degree also hold that name as development. i spend two years in that iit. but beleive me, they neither taught planning nor development. it was a course of soci-economic-psychological phliosophy of social science. in that two years i learned a lot about HSS in iit.
the purpose of iit is to give socio-economic and political awareness to the technology students. if we make a question of 20 starting with who is the present vice-president of india to who is the author of freedom at midnight? iam sure most of the technology student feel this paper more tougher than the JEE and JAM. it is not their fault ,it is the hss dept that is not serving the purpose. then what this big shots in the hss dept are doing?

.... sir, are u free this week? anbarasan i have a conference in cambodia, next week iam going to chec republic and iam attending a conference in european union. may be i will talk to u next month.
these people literally using the brand name for their personal gains. and they are not doing their jobs which are assigned to them (literally teaching to students)

TECH FRIENDS ATTITUDE TOWARDS HSS:
"arae!! why are they having a dept for social issues? we can understand by reading news paper." exactly i heared from my close friend. this is not his fault but the dept gave a message like this, to those technology students. some of my friends openly asked, why your professors are talking too much and confusing :)?
once in the class prof asked how can we develop those tribes in forest? one guy very cooly told give them jeans pants and t-shirt and allow them to access to technology. i was shocked. these people are trained to count the numbers they even see growth in terms of increase in GDP rate (can we consume cement and steel). so it is hss dept responsibility to make them understand the reality. some how one day these students will be in the panel of policy making either in the corporate world or in the government sector. are these HSS dept not cheating the students and the governments(god the amount of money flow in iits's are unimaginable) by not providing the proper information about the society and transformation. if we ask a teacher in hss iit about dalit development and reservation, this will be their answer "take those variables of crimes against dalits and govt expenditure and run a correlation and regression analysis, go for a t-test and u can see whether u r hypothesis accepted or not. so here the empowerment is over. how come few formulas can define social problems? the stafss in the hss are trying to imitate science model( obiviously understood as model for scince).

hss could be more interesting by having film clubs ,debate clubs and enviro clubs for mtech and btech students. that can serve the purpose more than running a regression. these clubs are seperate from extracurricular activies. becuase here the abled person guding them to learn the social issues. i am sure there are interested technology students in society and environment because i see fellow friends read news paper in hostel common room every day:)

LEARNINGS
1) iit is not a suitable palce for a serious social science students,for teachers left to them.
2) iit is good if at all ur topic is one way or another related to technology and society.
3) HSS need to rerpair its baahhh image in iit's (mostly u feel like walking in godown)
4) the very big attidude that teachers having here is " nobody going to ask me why?"
5)the technology students literally lack interest in social issues in india and in world that becuase the courses floated are wague and uncatchy
6) All the iits must make it compulsory that every technology students must undergo studies on indian social problems, enviromnental problem and technology impact. (6 credit must make compulsoryfrom hss.)
7) the research and international papers must be a free time activity for the teachers , they could concentrate mostly on teaching to students.
8) international trips and conferences must be minimised 3 in a year, becuase now a days only students and bulidings are there, teachers are busy outside the institution.
9) there must be a grievence cell for students regarding their academic performances
10) staffs should never have consultancies on behalf of iit brand name.

these iam putting forward only because iam also a stakeholder and one way another the victim of hss and moreover a wellwisher of IIT'S.

A JOURNEY FROM BC TO 4

for the past few years the casteism consiousness increased in me. that because of my stay in iit's. untill then i was not aware of this phenmenon. because student culture in universities are different. my recent low track record made me to really bad about my credentials. honestly iam not brilliant. i take time to understand stuffs but hard working.

what is troubling me is that,am i passing a message that i am using SC as a shield? from my deep inside of my heart let me say that i never like to use anything as a shield. because i strongly beleive in the shield of god. i think its time to reveal some naked truth.

BC GRADE

in my mphil grade i got BC grade. technique i used for research was both qualitaitve and quantitative. santhosh helped me in quantitative technique. not me alone he helped another one guy in fulfledge. when i was asked to give the hard copy to the examiner, my guide told me " you dont talk anything to him, i will talk to him" . i beleived him blind faithly. the examiner came for via-voce. my god! the sort question he asked was horrible and he started to interfere from introduction slides onwards. any fool must be given 15 to 20 min to put his view first. when i looked at my guide he commented " that's how we will ask you should able to answer it". viva was over. the foreign university asked my grade sheet for further prcedures. so i went in the evening to get my grade sheet .my guide very cooly asked what grade you expect? i told him it's not me expecting but they were asking AB grade. again he told "you never said this to me" !!! feel happy that u passed, i struggled a lot to get this grade, you got BC grade. honestly i told every of my move to him. when i heared my grade literally i felt like crawling over the floor and cry. please think from your son and daughter perspective. will you feel happy? but then i told him thank you so much sir, i never forget you in my life. the politics behind this is again a gutter.

let me ask a question,if any one doubt my subject knowledge call all those who got 9.something and AA,AB grades and ask questions on planning and development. this is not out of arroance i am saying, but i dont know how say it.

0 TO 4

i was wonderstruck how i got this muuuuuuch mark in research methodlogy. let me confess that i am not learning any ROCKET SCIENCE here. it's nothing but any approach to conduct a reaserach thats'all. because of my personal commitments (definitely my parents never been a stumbling block) i came a month late and within a week i have to face minor exam. the term paper one is we have to submit literature review of our research work. how come a student decide his topic(narrowing down) in a month and and they have to submit for minor one. me what i had done i took my mphil lit review and submitted. he gave me 0 telling that plagiarized term paper. when i went to talk to him like a broken old music record he told the same" this cant be accepted" and finally he asked anbarasan actually what u want ? then i walked out from his room. for the second term we have review the methodlogies that are used in our studies and what we are going to use? so i wrote composite index, gini coefficient, correlation, ols regression and finally i told i will be using multivariate analysis. i am sure iam not going to use this technique. i was given fooooour marks. i dont know how they sent such big marks through email.

trust me so far i never learned anything that could help for my research.

what i understood is, these days it is easy to get marks in social sciences provided u shuld have a cell phone and discussing ability. !!!

these are my reflections of our systems.

OUTCOME

1)least twice in a class hour he says " in IIT KANPUR..." it seems he is having more hold over his institution than himself. we need to sell ourself not our institutions.

THE POWER OF DISCIPLES.

i dont know anyone spoke about the power of disciples. everyone of us know the power of almighty, guru and gods. but there exist one power which is the forceful power can be named as the power of disciples. simple concept yet really important. they said shiva is nothing without shakthi, true. but same mythology says that shiva shattered shakthi's body into pieces when she went against the call of shiva. the logic behind is simple. the two forces must moves in the complementing manner, when any one force goes against another one, then there exist choas and disaster. this is applicable from family to environment. ie., from family to society, society to state, state to nation, nation to internatinal and finally the circle completes with environment. when our greedy forces goes against the environment forces then disaster is ensured. similarly the power of disciples too has this effect.

1) a hero/heroine remains hero/heroine aslong as the fans want him/her to be.

2) the preacher remains as a preacher as long as the listeners ready to listen

3) similarly a guru remains close to god as long as he has good disciples.

everyday i get up,my first work is looking at my guru face and i say a small tamizh phrase. i know clearly that my guru speaks bengali,hindi,english but not tamizh. however it is not that because of tamizh phrase my faith had forsaken. this is force that iam talking about. evryday my prayer through him, keep him close to god.the disciple force without his knowledge pushing him towards divinity. the analogy culd be since the demand frm one centre is incresing the gpvt gives more subsidiary and financial assistance to serve further effectively. the crowd for ramakrishna math and other spritiual org has a vast difference. that clearly says good disciples leads to good spiritual centre. so naturally in such a places the vibes will be soothing and relaxing. this is mainly due to the disciples. because thier faith and belief over the order keeps those sanyasis in right track. like mushroom many spiritual masters crop up and it will be interesting to see their disciples crowd:)

since huge amount of transactions taking place through a particular order. the master(god) will definitely take care of the leak proof channel. so guru's spiritual highness is automaitcally raised by their disciples faith. another one interesting fact is, if the group is more demanding naturally without his own will the forces pushes the facilitator further. so it is always important to allign with good order, good people, good guru and good disciple.
